It's all about showing compassion for the other living beings on this planet.

Good job, Jenn Fields-sun. Maybe he'll think twice the next time he's in a hurry to buy his granola. I have a lesser example of me, me, me:

On my morning run today, this group of five or six people were spread across the sidewalk on a stroll. (Living by the lake, this isn't a strange occurrence. Lots of beautiful homes and gardens.) I was running towards them, firmly positioned to the far right of the sidewalk. As I got closer, I noticed this guy at the back of the group wasn't budging from his spot directly in front of me. I could go nowhere. There is a steep hill to my right (not ideal running conditions), and to my left was the gaggle of people.

At the last minute, I hesitated, and Sidewalk Hog moved his SHOULDER out of the way so I didn't smack into him. Now, it may be my Southern inclination, but what ever happened to letting the lady pass?

I certainly didn't tell him to get the "fuck out of my way," but I thought it. Then I chided myself during the final blocks home. Clearly, he doesn't know any better. I should feel sorry for him, not ruin the end of my wonderfully mind-clearing run.
