		<description>Niiice! Very true. Having lived and ridden in Boulder for over 10 years I heartily agree. Pecking order....Hometown stars definitely get all the waves they need. 

Now that nina is mountain bike racing it is my job to make sure she doesnt do anything gumbyish.</description>

It&#039;s funny though, I&#039;ve lived and biked in St. Louis (grew up there myself), Indianapolis and now Fort Collins, and I&#039;ve never seen anybody wave to me, nor have I waved to somebody on a bike.  I didn&#039;t know we were supposed to wave. 

When you&#039;re riding around Ft Collins (especially once CSU is back in session), if you waved at every cyclist you saw, you&#039;d get tendonitis and never be able to keep both hands on the handle bars.  There are just tons of riders out here.  

I don&#039;t wave at every car on the road or every person I pass while walking on the side walk.  Why is my bike commute any different?</description>
